The card desk consisting of pictures of waves, a cross, a circle, a square, and a star are called Zener Tarot cards [true] please help?” href=”http://psychicmediumtest.com/are-tarot-cards-true-please-help/”>cards, presumably one could extrapolate and call the test the Zener test or Zener card test. People with supposed psychic abilities have been tested for decades, for example the Zener card desk was invented in the 1930′s, and no one conducting a test under close supervision and scientific conditions has beaten mathematical probability. The James Randi Education Foundation offers a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event. The test has been open for forty-five years and no one has collected it yet.

Well, now days we really need to narrow down which psychic talent one is trying to test for…
Yes there are several talents who have passed this test with a score outside the range of chance. And no that test will always be around… perhaps not used as often. See site below.
It sounds like you are asking about the zenner cards:
designed by Dr. J.B. Rhine based on an idea suggested by …www.online-psychic.biz/zennercard

However, a variation on that was called “the color ganzfeldt test” utilized by Chuck Honorton and separately by William G. Braud [1976-79]. This PSI test used slides of various collages [not so predictable as for example a slide might be an ice cream cone upside down on a car placed in a lake]. There usually was a bank of about 1,100 slides if memory serves me correctly. This test was looking for consistent telepathic or precognitive abilities.
